Whole Wheat Pita Chip

It’s a snap to make your own pita chips. You can use regular white pita, but the whole wheat variety offers more fiber.

  • 8 whole wheat pita rounds (6-inch)
  • Olive oil
  • Coarse sea salt
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the pita rounds in quarters. Lay them on a rimmed baking sheet in one layer. Place olive oil in a small bowl and lightly brush each piece of pita with oil. Sprikle with sea salt. Bake for 10 minutes, or until chips are golden and crunchy. You should be able to smell them when they’re done (and good luck resisting them. Better have something for dipping on hand).
  • Quick Tips
  • 1. Try serving these chips with feta walnut dip, zucchini hummus, or feta and chive spread.
  • 2.In the unlikely event that you have leftovers, store them at room temperature in a zip top bag.
