Salmon with Balsamic Honey Glaze

Adapted from the National Honey Board

Be sure to serve this dish with plenty of the flavorful glaze drizzled over the top. Rice also pairs nicely and soaks up some of the glaze as well.

  • 4 salmon filets with skin (6 oz. each)
  • Kosher salt
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup sliced raw almonds
  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
  • Season the flesh side of the filets with salt. Spray a shallow baking pan liberally with cooking spray to prevent salmon skin from sticking. Arrange skin-side down in pan. Roast on the middle rack of the oven at 500 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • To make glaze, combine the honey, vinegar, oil, garlic and salt. Sprinkle almonds over the fish, then drizzle 1 tablespoon glaze over each filet. Roast at 400 degrees F for 3 to 5 additional minutes. Remove salmon to serving plates. Drizzle an additional tablespoon glaze over each filet.
